NEW JERSEY INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER APPEARS ON “IMUS IN THE MORNING”

Independent filmmaker, Mike Carr, founder of Mendham Films appeared on WFAN's Imus in the Morning this morning and the appearance was televised on MSNBC.
Mr. Carr was interviewed along with Vince Bivona, a featured actor in the movie, The Cowboy. Mr. Carr's appearance was in conjunction with the Imus Telethon which raises money for the Imus Ranch, the CJ Foundation for Children with SIDS and Tomorrows Children's Fund who funded the movie, The Cowboy.
Mike and Vince discussed their experiences as cancer survivors and how much making the film was a healing experience for them and those that also appeared with them. The teenager in the film, "…embodies the spirit of a cowboy, something that you bring to The Imus Ranch," said Carr.
They had an opportunity to also present the concept for the new feature film, written by Mr. Carr, Dooley's Diner to begin production in July 2005.
The Cowboy was recently shown at The Garden State Film Festival and will be shown at the end of the month at The Trenton Film Festival.
Mike Carr is a 2005 graduate of Boston University.
