BIO: Writer/Director Michael Carr
Michael Carr graduated from Boston University's College of
Communication with a degree in film. A cancer survivor, (EWING'S
SARCOMA, a rare bone cancer) Carr strives to give back to the world a
story, from his unique perspective. His first short film, "The Cowboy"
was shot with Elysium Productions, a Philadelphia based company in
which Carr is a partner. The film itself tells the story of a
seventeen-year-old boy stricken with cancer, a subsequent negative
prognosis and how he faces this challenge. Through personal realization
and the help of his family, he lives out his last dream, which is to be
a cowboy. This story is full of Carr's own recollections and memories
of his battle with cancer and was shot on location over three days in
Mendham, NJ.
